EN 10217-1 — Welded steel tubes for pressure purposes. Part 1: Non-alloy steel tubes with specified room temperature properties
Last updated
Scope
Technical delivery conditions for electric-welded and submerged-arc-welded non-alloy steel tubes for pressure purposes with specified properties at room temperature: grades P195TR1, P195TR2, P235TR1, P235TR2, P265TR1 and P265TR2. The TR1 qualities carry no impact requirement; the TR2 qualities add a Charpy requirement at 0 C and tighter composition, and are the ones permitted for welded pressure equipment under most national rules. Covers composition, mechanical properties, tightness and non-destructive testing, dimensions and tolerances (with EN 10217-1 Annex and EN 10220 for the size tables). Seamless equivalents are in EN 10216-1; tubes for elevated-temperature service are in Parts 2 of each.
