St 22 equivalent grades: ASTM, EN, JIS, GB, DIN
St 22 is withdrawn DIN designation for hot-rolled mild steel sheet for cold forming specified in DIN 17100. What follows is the substitution list: 3 standard systems, and for each candidate the clause that makes it an exact match or stops it being one. For St 22 the exact matches are DD11, and material bought as one is accepted as the other without deviation. A1011 CS Type B, SPHC differ on one limit only — a carbon ceiling, an impact temperature or a strength minimum. Functionally interchangeable, S235JR, DD12 / DD13 serve a different route to the same duty — check the design, not the analysis. Counted by system: 3 in EN (European), 1 in ASTM / ASME, 1 in JIS (Japan).
