ASTM A515/A515M-17 is a standard specification for pressure vessel plates, carbon steel, for intermediate- and higher-temperature service. This specification specifies three grades of carbon steel plates, designated as Grade 60, Grade 65, and Grade 70. These plates are primarily used for the fabrication of boilers in industries such as oil and gas, refinery, petrochemical, and power generation.

The mechanical properties of A515/A515M-17 steel grade determine its strength and suitability for various applications. The tensile strength of Grade 60 is 415-550 MPa, Grade 65 is 450-585 MPa, and Grade 70 is 485-620 MPa. The yield strength of Grade 60 is 220 MPa, Grade 65 is 240 MPa, and Grade 70 is 260 MPa.
